Come and work in the beautiful surrounding at St Gabriel’s Nursery, within the grounds of our independent day school in Newbury.

**The role**:We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who will work in our Nursery on a 1:1 basis with one of our pre-school children. This wonderful child needs support at times when stress level become hard to manage, most often at transitional times in the day, due to sensory factors and social communication misunderstandings. When 1:1 support is not needed, you will provide general support to the whole room.

With a Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification, you will join our exceptional nursery team encouraging and supporting all the children, ensuring each child is treated as an individual from their very first day.

All our children, from our youngest babies, follow a specifically tailored and richly diverse Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with access to specialist staff from the Junior School. A wide variety of fun and exciting learning opportunities are provided for the children, which take place both in and out of doors.

The nursery is proud of its family orientated atmosphere, where children become confident, happy and independent learners.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Level 3 qualification recognised by the Early Years’ Service
- Previous experience of supporting children with ASD

This role is initially for a fixed term of 1 year, and is linked to the attendance of the child.

We are looking for someone to join us as soon as possible.

**Salary**: £16,050 actual (pro rata of £22,483 FTE).
