Barnes Roffe Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join one of their clients based in Crayford.
**What is the role?**
The position would suit someone who is comfortable working independently and has experience in this type of role. Ideally someone who can take immediate responsibility for key areas of the finance function.
You will be responsible for all day-to-day operations, managing and supporting team members as well as improving processes and helping to identify efficiencies.

**Key responsibilities**
- Creating and processing ad-hoc & monthly client invoices & sales reports
- Managing income & posting payments into back office systems
- Operating the Sales Ledger including continual bank & account reconciliations including posting payments into back office systems
- Aged debt analysis and credit control
- Day to day processing of Purchase Ledger and preparing payment runs
- Matching purchase orders to invoices
- Preparing staff wage reports to strict monthly deadlines, operating payrolls, attachment of earnings and HMRC submissions
- Assist with workplace pensions including employee assessments and submissions to pension provider
- Answering staff queries relating to pay and entitlements, completing corresponding records and forms
- Managing holiday, sick records & maternity/paternity queries
- Managing and reconciling company expenditure accounts
- Assist with regular VAT returns
- Assist with the production of year end accounts
- Create and run regular Sales report analysis
- Cost reduction proposals
- Budgets and forecasting activities
- Producing and submitting monthly client ticket income reports, managing fees and processing monthly payments to clients
- Assist with preparation and presentation of management accounts (weekly & monthly).
- Manage petty cash, driver floats and reconciliations
- Assisting with audits and submitting ONS responses.
- Assist the Financial Controller, Directors and/or Senior Management with ad hoc tasks and projects
- Managing office and IT stationery, printing supplies and the post Skills and experience required
**Personal specification**
- Accounting qualification essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of Sage is preferable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven can-do attitude with an ability to work calmly and accurately
- A self-motivated individual that can work to strict time deadlines
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
