DESCRIPTION

We have a fantastic new and exclusive opportunity for a Mid Corporate Account Handler to work with one of our key clients, one of the largest Independent Chartered Insurance companies in the UK as part of a highly reputable insurance team based in Birmingham City Centre.
You will liaise with Account Handlers, Account Executives, Directors, Clients, Insurers and Suppliers. Your job will be to provide a quality service to new and existing clients covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements including but not limited to quotations, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
\"Work closely with Account Executives and Directors to provide highest standard service to customers.
\"Secure and arrange appropriate cover at renewal at a competitive premium, completing all relevant documentation/computer work and hand over to relevant Account Executive/Director (if an allocated case).
\"Take instructions relating to the provision of insurance cover from clients and Account Executives when appropriate.
\"Give instructions to insurers.
\"Ensure mid-term adjustments and declarations are processed and records updated.
\"Handle the invoicing of all premiums due.
\"Check all documentation (ie, policies and endorsements) for accuracy prior to sending to client.
\"Obtain quotations for any relevant new policies/renewals.
\"Be conversant with Company Procedures manual and the requirements of the FCA and to implement and maintain procedures as stipulated.
\"Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
\"Visits to customers were agreed with the Account Executive.
\"Monitor trends, analyse results, and prepare feedback to senior staff.
\"Deal with any other client issues that may arise, referring to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.

Essential Skills
\"Cross Class Commercial Insurance
\"Dealing with £80,000+ Premiums
\"Knowledge of the Insurance markets available.
\"General Insurance and underlying legal principals.
\"All company specific procedures.
\"The regulatory requirements of general insurance in operation at any time.
\"FCA regulations and guidelines relating to commercial customers.
\"Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning.

Skills Required
\"Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) that are effective and meet business needs.
\"Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
\"Excellent team working skills.
\"Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
\"Excellent negotiation skills.
\"Ability to work without supervision.
