**Role**: Permanent contract

**Location**: Barnstaple, Devon

**Salary**: Circa £29,000 - £32,000 + bonus + benefits

**Working Hours**: Day Shift: Monday - Friday (08:00 - 16:30)

**The Role**

We’re seeking a meticulous and organised Technical Systems Operator to provide comprehensive administrative and technical support to the Manufacturing and Production functions at our Barnstaple site, ensuring all work is performed in full compliance with GMP, EHS, company and industry standards. On a day-to-day basis you will:

- Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Maintain Training records for Manufacturing/Packing staff and provide internal systems training such (Q-Edge, COSWIN, JARMAN)
- Participate in quality related activities including scheduled self-inspections, EHS reviews, customer and FDA / MHRA audits. Manage CAPA’s (Corrective Actions Preventative Actions) associated with Audit Responses and QA investigations
- Manage departmental Change Controls, Change Control Actions, Deviations and where applicable assist in the Root Cause Analysis and subsequent CAPA plans
- Consult and advise on projects/equipment upgrades/improved processes
- Create associated project documentation (e.g. Statement of Need, User Requirement Specification, Capital Expenditure request)
- When applicable assist the Validation department with the qualification and validation of production equipment and systems
- Conduct JD Edwards Processing (MRP) (e.g. “Pre-Release” procedure for unreleased stock, updates to run rates etc.

**The Person**:

- Experience in a similar busy Technical/Administrative role ideally within a regulated environment
- Excellent communication skills, able to build good working relationships at all levels of authority and navigate cultural differences with ease.
- Good organisation skills, able to manage own workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changeable work environment.
- Strong eye for detail and logical approach to work.
- Good IT skills across Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Known for being reliable, you approach work in a calm and methodical manner and have a keen eye for detail.
- You’re a team player, accepting of constructive feedback and always open to learning.
- From a practical perspective, you have a good level of general health and are comfortable to work in an enclosed, indoor environment.
