Corfe Mullen is situated in East Dorset north of Poole, with a population of approximately 10,140 living across 4290 properties. The village is set in the green belt, encouraging many outdoor activities and enabling excellent recreational facilities for residents and visitors alike.

The Town Council is a democratically elected body of 14 Councillors, supported by a Town Clerk & RFO, Deputy Clerk and an Administration Assistant along with a team of grounds staff who all have a key role in promoting the town, facilitating town management and providing community leadership.

The Town Council are responsible for the provision and maintenance of 44 acres of recreation ground including sports pitches, 11 acres of open space (working with Dorset Wildlife Trust) and several small communal areas, such as play areas along with two cemeteries, a chapel and war memorial, and allotments.

The role covers a vast array of areas from litter picking to installing street furniture. Experience in grounds maintenance is preferable, but training will be provided.

The post is 37 hours per week, working 8am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3.30pm on Friday’s.
