Café Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed
- Assist with food preparation, such as chopping vegetables or assembling sandwiches
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibiliaties. **Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £8.00-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
