Head of Factory Operations

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of production managers, fostering a culture of quality excellence and right first time.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise cheese production and packing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement best practices and enhance production efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Build a culture that ensures compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Efficiently manage resources, including raw materials, manpower, and equipment, to meet production goals while controlling costs.
- Develop and manage the production budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, equipment upgrades, and capital investments to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and champion sustainability initiatives within the production processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively identifying opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Provide regular reports and data-driven insights on production performance.

**The Applicant**:

- We are looking for applicants with proven track record of senior-level multi-team leadership with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
- BSc Hons degree in Dairy Science or related field.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Production software and data analytics skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills to utilise and develop factory systems.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance standards, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to driving industry-leading performance.
