Permanent, 37 hours per week.

Opportunities have arisen for Streetworks Officers to join the Highway Enforcement team at Rotherham Borough Council.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professionals who will be based at Riverside House within Rotherham Town Centre. These posts form part of the Highway Service which is responsible for all highway management and programmed maintenance on our network of 1100km roads which includes responsibility for street works, highway enforcement and condition inspections in accordance with associated Codes of Practice.

The Streetworks Officers will assist in the efficient and effective operation of the team which involves maintaining and enhancing our road network and reducing congestion. Lessening disruption to the public is a key role for the Street Works team. The Street Works Inspector will support and deliver their objectives through the proactive inspection of road/street works across the Borough and will be responsible for inspecting works sites and ensuring high levels of safety, dealing with traffic management issues and ongoing works and reinstatements.
