**QUALITY & TECHNICAL ASSISTANT**

(Maternity Cover: Temporary Contract 9-12 months, Monday-Friday)

The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring the factory Quality & Food Safety Systems and for determining that quality, safety and legality are met at each stage of the process by liaising effectively with all relevant parties in a policing capacity. Also, to assist the sites Quality & Technical Manager in maintaining sites certification.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - **Tasks undertaken will include but not be limited to:

- Maintain the Quality Managing System and Assist the Quality & Technical Manager to maintain certification.
- Maintaining the Food Safety System policies and procedures.
- HACCP Studies.
- Participate in internal and external audits including regulatory audits
- Tracking and monitoring completion of regulatory inspection and customer audit CAPA actions.
- Document Control & Traceability
- Traceability exercises and mock product recall
- Assist site with investigations into customer complaints, root cause and corrective actions
- GMP/Hygiene and glass audits
- Tracking and monitoring completion of internal non-conformances and deviations including liaising with members of the GMP team to ensure they are aware of their tasks and helping to facilitate timely completion and ensuring all corrective actions are completed within time scale
- Participate in internal and external audits including regulatory audits
- Ensuring Calibration schedule is maintained
- Collecting Micro samples as per schedule
- Maintain and managed customer specifications, attribute specifications
- Maintain sites supplier approval systems and documentation
- Provide information to Technical Manager with supplier and product quality management information.
- Complete questionnaires on online portals & communicate with other companies.
- Deputise for Quality & Technical Manager in their absence

**Specific Experience & Education**

**Essential**:

- Previous experience of working within the food industry
- The ability to time manage, multi task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and access database
- Good levels of communication
- HACCP Knowledge
- Have high attention to detail.
- Work well to complete tasks within timescales
- Work proactively.
- Work as part of a team.
- Be organised.
