**Job description**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with experience in Xero and PayProp to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing our financial records, reconciling incoming payments on Xero and PayProp, entering Contractor payments on PayProp, producing rent arrears reports, and addressing accounts queries.
Initially 2 days a week are required, exact days to be agreed
**Responsibilities**
- Reconcile non-standard incoming payments on PayProp, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions.
- Check contractor invoices before 10th of the month
- Approve payments to landlords and contractors
- Deal with accounts enquiries from landlords and tenants
- Review the rent arrears report before putting on the shared drive
- Answer questions from the person reconciling transactions on PayProp
- Set up payments of deposits to TDS
- Process deposit returns from TDS
- Process payments of landlord funds on account
- Set up contractors and landlords on PayProp
- Generate rent arrears reports and monitor overdue payments, taking appropriate actions as necessary.
- Address accounts queries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in bookkeeping and financial management.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with several years experience in Xero and PayProp.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using Xero and PayProp software for financial transactions and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, displaying a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively address accounts queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- A high degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
