General Foreman

BHC is one of the UK’s leading Structural Steel Fabrication and Construction companies supplying and erecting fabricated steel nationwide within the UK and Ireland. BHC also undertake Main Contract, Industrial, Agricultural, and house building Projects for which several Concrete and Civils squads are carried.

Due to the growth and expansion of the business we are recruiting for a General Foreman to join our busy teams working UK Wide.

Our construction projects vary from main contract to commercial units, agricultural buildings, and house building.

As a key member of the construction team, you will be required to work within a site and undertake a wide variety of duties.

Experience is essential, working as a General Foreman, ideally with experience working with Concrete, Groundworks and Civils

You must also have an in date SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, CPCS Plant, with First Aid being desirable.

Reporting to the Project Manager & Site managers, you will be responsible for:

- Understanding the Company Health and Safety Policy and ensuring that it is brought to the attention of all employees.
- Be involved with the construction of Industrial, commercial, and agricultural projects.
- Various concreting works including slabs, foundations, formation works, reinforcement, drainage, ducting and groundworks.
- On larger projects you will be coordinating and interfacing with other works such as steel erecting, cladding among other trades.
- You will be required to organise and drive labour to keep to programmes, ensuring the day-to-day running of jobs, taking control of site deliveries and co-ordinating works.
- Expected to be aware and raise alarm at the presence of dangers on site and adhere to strict health and safety regulations.
- Clean Driving licence.
- Working away from home may be required.

**Qualifications / Experience**:

- SMSTS/SSSTS, first aid, CSCS and CPCS operating licenses preferred (although training can be given).
- Experience of carrying out the role with civils contractors / construction companies.
