We are looking for an enthusiastic general paediatrician to join our integrated child health service in Stockport. Stockport has an integrated child health model and therefore all consultants hold responsibilities for acute paediatrics, neonates and community paediatrics.

Our consultant team work across both acute and community services and have expertise in allergy, respiratory paediatrics, epilepsy and neurological conditions, diabetes and endocrinology, chronic fatigue, cardiology, eating disorders, ADOS assessment, immunisation, ADHD, Neonatal, child sexual abuse and safeguarding.

As part of the Trust’s commitment to deliver onsite consultant cover you will undertake a fortnightly twilight session in the Treehouse Children’s Unit/Neonatal Unit, as well as participating in the on call and hot week rotas.

The successful applicant will be issued with a contract which reflects the potential requirement for out of hours or weekend working. Any requirement to work out of hours is detailed in the job advert / job description for this post and will be discussed fully with the successful applicant on appointment. This is a deviation from the national standard consultant contract.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
