Our Client has been developing specialty financial vehicles in the UK since 2014. As a data and AI-driven company, our Client utilises the most advanced and innovative technology to facilitate the highest practices of consumer lending. The company’s award-winningbrand offers short-term, direct loans from £200 - £1,500 for up to six months, and practices industry-leading transparency, flexibility and responsible lending.

As a Senior Collection & Strategy Leader, you will be an integral part of the Operations team working alongside the leadership team, managing managers and overseeing other employees within their teams. You will be contributing to Customer Support to driveimprovements in our collection rate and the profitability of our partnerships.

We are seeking a smart, energetic, passionate, and diligent individual. This role is a unique opportunity to manage an amazing collections team, lead by example, and work with leaders.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage all collections, claims and processes for the UK debt portfolio including setting up a matrix to sell cohorts of debt or pass onto debt collection agencies
- Identify and implement improvements to collections, claims and recoveries processes
- Monitor payment plans with customers who are in arrears and track overall adherence rates to payment plans
- Monitor the cases under collection, track KPIs and continuously improve collection rate
- Liaise with key stakeholders for cases reaching the claim and recoveries stage
- Analyse effectiveness of current debt collection partners and drive improvement of joint performance metrics
- Provide feedback to Product and Tech on improvements to our systems and opportunities for process automation

**Skills Required**:

- 3 -5 years’ experience of consumer debt collection in a relevant industry (retail bank, fin-tech or DCA, etc)
- Experience of creating and documenting collections processes
- Great understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales and customer restructuring
- Good knowledge of credit products
- Knowledge of local debt collection laws and regulations
- Performance and relationship management skills with 3rd party service providers
- Highly analytical person with excellent problem solving skills
- Curiosity and drive to identify and implement improvements to automate wherever possible
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding leadership and managerial skills
