Ultimately, the role of the _Residential Support Worker _allows you to make a positive difference on the lives of a young people.
- **The Role of Residential Support Worker**:_
- To know, understand, implement, and model the Physis Model of Therapeutic Care to provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.
- To work under the direction of the Registered Manager (RM) to ensure Physis service delivery objectives are met, and to run shifts as required.
- To be a caregiver to young people ensuring their daily needs are met and their individual plans for health, education, safety, and personal development are delivered.
- At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
- To act as an ambassador for the organisation and ensure effective partnership working within the organisation and with external agencies.
- **Experience and qualifications you will have**:_
- Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) _or willingness to work towards._
- Driver’s licence - Use of onsite vehicles.
- Experience of working with young people, with complex needs within a residential setting desirable.
- Effective characteristics and personality to handle challenging situations.
- Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.
