This exciting opportunity has become available within Iron Mountain's London Transport operation for a highly motivated individual to come on board and learn the skills involved in operating and maintaining the machinery involved within our new mobile shredding unit for on and off-site destruction of customer data,ie tapes,hard drives and CD's.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain our state-of-the-art mobile paper shredding unit to efficiently and securely shred confidential media at client locations
- Accompany the driver to the mobile unit to designated customer sites while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations.
- Ensure the machine is set up correctly, perform routine maintenance checks, and troubleshoot any operational issues that may arise during shredding.
- Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service throughout the shredding process.
- Follow established procedures for loading, shredding, and unloading meadia/data materials, ensuring the confidentiality of all sensitive data.
- Maintain accurate records of the shredding activities, including the amount of media/data shredded and hours worked.
- Adhere to company policies and industry standards regarding data security and environmental compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in machine operation, preferably with shredding equipment, is a plus.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and lift moderate loads as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accurate execution of shredding tasks.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to strict schedules.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Commitment to data security and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to document destruction is advantageous.
