**1:1 Teaching Assistant**
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Behaviour Support Assistants to work within our partnership schools throughout 2023. There roles would involve 1:1 support, small group sessions and general classroom assistance. In recent years the need forstrong, caring and confident support assistants has doubled due to regression throughout the pandemic and the ever-changing needs of current pupils.
**The Role**:
Beginning in January 2023, the roles will include supervising children within the classroom where core responsibilities include 1:1 support and lunchtime supervision. Consistency and reliability are essential to ensure the children can build trusting relationshipsand find a comfortable school environment. Placements will be reviewed throughout the year and if successful this will extend to a permanent position within the school.
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 TA qualification
- Must have experience working with SEND pupils on a 121 basis
- Ability to offer whole class support if needed
- Calm, confident and proactive attitude required with the ability to use own initiative in difficult situations
**The schools**:
All schools are based in the Northeast of England covering areas such as Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Darlington, and Teesside. Both children and staff are made to feel included in the school environment and play an integral part to the success of theschool. Parking is provided in most schools, and all are accessible by bus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
