Due to expansion we have vacancies in the manufacturing of GRP tanks providing an opportunity for hard working individuals within a growing business. Extensive training will be given.

This post is also for individuals with experience in the GRP field, who have commitment and enthusiasm.

SPEL underground tanks are filament wound by the technically advanced chop hoop filament winding process (patented).

The tanks shells range from 1.2m diameter up to 4.0m diameter and are fitted out by the tank production assembler in accordance with the customer’s requirements

The different tasks involved in this process are as follows:

- Trimming the glass fibre components and apertures in tank shells
- Laminating (moulding) the glass fibre to tank shells and components
- Building components (partitions etc.) using work instructions and technical drawings
- Fitting the components into the tank shell using work instructions and technical drawings
- Labelling tanks as appropriate
- Weighing finished tanks and completing weight/timesheet schedules provided
- Cleaning tanks ready for collection

The job role also involves:

- Keeping to the work schedule allocated
- Completing orders in allocated times
- Following instructions from supervisors and management
- Raising questions and issues as appropriate
- Following Health and Safety instructions / manual when carrying out all tasks
- Ensuring that appropriate PPE is worn at all times. In order for the PPE to be effective and work within our guidelines then you must be clean shaven at all times.

**After Initial Training -This will be a fixed AM or PM shift working the Following Hours**:
**6am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday**

**OR**

**10am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday**

**Starting rate of £10.50 to be reviewed after Induction period.**

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
