**NHS Co-Ordinator**

One Healthcare has an opportunity for an experienced NHS Co-ordinator to join in a small and friendly reservations & medical records team at One Ahsford Hospital. To provide outstanding customer service through the efficient, accurate and compliant administration of NHS spot work.

**Working Hours**:37.5 hours, Mon to Fri.

**Salary**:Negotiable dependant on skills set and experience

**NHS Co-Ordinator**

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for providing accurate and timely records of NHS activity to Finance and Senior Management as and when requested.
- Manage spot contract trackers, ensuring these are up-to-date and returned to the trust on a regular basis
- Book outpatient, surgical and follow-up appointments.
- Co-ordinate spot contract work.
- Prepare documents and complete forms as per department procedures and business requirements.
- Liaise closely with internal departments regarding patient bookings.
- Inform patients of their booking and admission by means of a computer generated letter and an information pack.
- Build effective working relationships with other departments, medical secretaries and consultants.
- Advise all relevant hospital departments of all admissions, including cancellations.
- Ensure referral letters are uploaded and available for medical records in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the Reservations/Bookings team to resolve any issues with the bookings that may arise.
- Ensure all NHS patient data is captured accurately
- Involvement in NHS activity escalations, including escalating system or process issues, as necessary, following the correct procedure.
- Provide day to day support to the administration team with regards to the NHS activity.
- Liaise with Theatres to ensure accuracy of all surgical bookings made.
- Ensure knowledge of Compucare bookings process from start to end
- Complete patient pathways from referral to completion using the Computer system.
- Undertake general office duties and any other duties as may be requested by department lead or Ops Director

**Qualifications**
- Minimum GCSE education or equivalent.

**Experience**
- Relevant experience within an NHS healthcare environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Previous administration experience in a business/health care sector environment.
- Knowledge of NHS Referral to treatment and patient pathways
