You’ll be an enthusiastic, committed and skilled Psychology graduate able to contribute to the development of the CAMHS workforce in MFT (which includes, expansion, retention, new roles and training) alongside opportunities for clinical and research work. You will be supported to put your creativity, innovation, knowledge, skills and research to good use helping to improve outcomes for Children and Young People across MFT CAMHS.

You’ll have an excellent opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of our innovative work with children and families. The postholder will also have the opportunity to work under supervision with individual cases.

We offer full training within the service, encouraging progression, with regular clinical and managerial supervision.

Post holder will be involved in the design and development of a comprehensive workforce plan for MFT CAMHS, which may also include the management of data systems as necessary to meet the specifications of this programme of work.

Post holder will also be responsible for key administrative duties in relation to the programme of work.

Under supervision, the post holder will assist qualified Clinical Psychologists in implementing psychological interventions. This will include using various methods to collect relevant data, analysis of data, undertaking clinical interventions with others and evaluating interventions. The post holder may be expected to communicate sensitive information with children, families and parent groups both verbally and in writing.

Post holder will be expected to liaise with other stakeholders/professionals such as school teachers & social workers in arranging meetings, gathering information and undertaking assessments and interventions.

The post holder will be expected to assist in undertaking teaching and training. This will include the production of relevant literature and contributing to training initiatives under supervision. Undertaking literature searches relevant to particular projects and the preparation and presentation of summaries and reports.

The post holder will be expected to organise their own day to day work tasks and activities and will be expected to plan activity and make appropriate judgments regarding urgency.
