JCS Recruitment are recruiting a lab administrator for our busy client based in Haydock, St.Helens.
Role and Responsibilities
As a technician, you will be building solid relations with the production, working closely by testing manufactured products then generating certificates required by customers. You will be heavily involved with quality control testing daily and validating results from testing by means of certificates or reports when required.
As a laboratory technician, you will be working with new materials, running trails, mixing materials and report to meet the business needs.
**1. **Laboratory Testing**:
- To validate that product is within tolerance/Specification
- To generate reports or certificates as requested
- To flag to Supervisor if any products fall outside tolerance
- To complete laboratory trials as and when required on existing and new products.
- Update the Site manager and also Sales team on performance of any trials conducted.
- Liaising with Site Manager or Production Superintendent as and when development work is required.
**2. **Laboratory House Keeping**:
- To ensure the house keeping of the laboratory is achieved daily so that the laboratory is efficient at all times and visitor ready on a daily basis.
- To follow laboratory manual to ensure the laboratory is a safe and clean environment to work within.
- To ensure any old samples etc. are disposed in a controlled manner.
- Equipment should be left clean after every use with no trip hazards
**3. **Archiving Data**
- Test records should be retrievable and stored in the correct location at all times to assist the business.
- All samples should have ID and date and be retrieval at all times.
- Data should be archived as and when required and samples dispose accordingly
- All requests to supply data should be completed in a timely manner and if unsure, you should request additional training or knowledge support.
**4. **Generating Certificates**
- Production of certificates of analysis and or conformity for all inspected and tested products, ensuring that information is forwarded to requested person in a timely manner.
- Transposing of certificates as requested in a timely manner.
**5. **General technical Functions**
- Use of Business tools to store and retrieve data.
- Open mail daily and advise relevant staff if anything needs attention.
- Ensure your mailbox is up to date at all times.
- Hazardous class files updates
- COSHH data updates
- SDS sending to various storage warehouses.
- Filing of SDS and TDS as per work instructions
Ordering supplies by Purchase orders process
Holiday cover for samples
To process delivery notes for the warehouse team to pick and load consignments
**Adhoc Duties**
- As and when required by the business.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Laboratory discipline awareness
- General office experience
- I.T skills essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
**Salary**: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
