**Technical Team Leader, Residential Maintenance**

Pinnacle Power is a fast-growing innovative business which designs, builds, operates, maintains and finances low carbon district energy networks and building energy systems for communities. We work with local authorities, developers, house builders and property owners to reduce costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions through innovative design and proactive intelligence led system operations and optimisation.

With the decarbonisation of our heating systems now becoming a national imperative we are experiencing rapid growth in demand for the design, build, operation, and maintenance of low carbon district heating systems and for the decarbonization of existing building heating systems, especially to replace distributed fossil fuel heating with centralised low carbon heat generation. Current projects include:

- The design and installation of a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to a new development of 300 homes a gym and office building in Clapham.
- The design and installation of a heat network in a rural community to replace oil boilers in 300 homes with centralised low carbon heat generation.
- The design, installation and operation of a new city centre wide low carbon district heating system.
- Developing detailed long-term decarbonisation plans for existing large scale district heating networks to allow them to transition from gas fired CHP led generation to low carbon generation.

**Role**

Pinnacle Power are looking for a Technical Team Leader for the Residential Maintenance team to join our growing Operations team.

The role be responsible for a growing team of mobile engineers who undertake servicing and breakdowns for residential HIUs across our sites. Our sites are largely based in and around London, Bristol and South coast, however we are rapidly expanding nationally. The role is to provide technical support, mentoring and continual business improvement to how we roll out residential heat network services.

Not only being responsible for the Residential Maintenance Team, you will also be required to collaborate across other teams within the Operations Department and wider company.

It is a new role within the company and will be supported by others who have shared the role in the past. Both an exciting opportunity to help form and plenty of room for growth and personal development.

**Specific Tasks**

**General**
- Responsible for ensuring the Residential O&M Team have the right level of technical support and personal development plans to provide effective planned services and breakdown attendance/resolution.
- Lead by example always, ensuring our customer facing engineering team communicate with consideration to our customers and present themselves professionally at all times
- Active member of the team, both in the office and in the field. Varied role, with time attending service and breakdowns, mentoring engineers in the field as well as office-based business improvement works.
- Be part of and ensure our 24/7 On Call team is reliable and those forming part of the On Call team are competent, supported and follow the correct Pinnacle Power procedures
- Work closely with Residential O&M Coordinators to highlight where operational efficiencies can be made, put actions in place, roll out and measure their effectiveness.
- Support Central Coordination team to ensure all required spare parts are identified and made available across all sites

**Mentoring and Leadership (Residential O&M Operations)**
- Undertake regular in-house training for our engineers and wider team on HIU Models installed on our training rig
- Develop and expand our HIU training rig with consideration for current and future HIU models and related equipment
- Build relationships with suppliers (especially HIU manufacturers), organizing external training and feeding back innovations / training opportunities to expand knowledge withing the team and wider company
- Working closely with Residential O&M Coordinator, develop and roll out Personal Development Plans across the residential maintenance engineers, and wider team

**Documentation & Procedures**:

- Review and update Operational documentation; Risk Assessment & Method Statements, Standard Operating Procedures, Training Material, etc.
- Work closely with the O&M schedulers and Customer Service, to ensure unnecessary call outs are minimised by creating and refining current triage process along with providing basic technical training to frontline Customer Service Operators.
