Payroll Administrator

6 months - Stourport - hybrid

As a payroll administrator, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the payroll process. Your role involves ensuring that all employees are accurately and timely paid, handling deductions, taxes, and other financial aspects related to employee compensation. Here are some of the key tasks and responsibilities typically associated with the role of a payroll administrator:
**Payroll Processing**: Calculate and process employees' wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation. This includes accounting for overtime, holidays, absences, and any other relevant factors that affect an employee's pay.

**Timekeeping and Attendance**: Monitor and track employee attendance and work hours, either through time clock systems or other attendance tracking methods.

**New Employee Onboarding**: Assist with the payroll-related aspects of new employee onboarding, such as setting up payroll accounts, tax forms, and bank details

**Compliance and Recordkeeping**: Ensure that payroll practices comply with relevant laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate and organised payroll records.

**Resolving Payroll Issues**: Handle any payroll-related inquiries from employees, addressing discrepancies, errors, and other issues related to compensation.

To be successful as a payroll administrator, you should have a strong attention to detail, be well-versed in payroll regulations, possess good mathematical and analytical skills, and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information. Additionally, being organised and capable of meeting tight deadlines is crucial in this role.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
