A cook/kitchen hand is responsible for ensuring our high standard of kitchen cleanliness are maintained; as well as being responsible for all aspects of food preparation; cooking with fryers, hot plate, and other kitchen equipment. It is vital that you have a good knowledge of food health and safety standards and previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.

Here is a list of duties.
- Measuring out meal ingredients according to a recipe.
- Prepping various ingredients such as meats and vegetables.
- Serving food to customers and staff.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, including closing down every evening.
- Maintaining record of stock and wastage.
- Rotating stock items as per established procedures.
- Ordering stock in preparation for the week ahead.
- Washing dishes when required.
- Waste removal.
- Equipment Maintenance.
- Ensuring a safe and positive environment.
- Qualified in food and hygiene level 1 & 2.
- Physically Fit.
- Have Ability to Work Quickly and Effectively, even when under pressure.
- Ability to Follow Instructions.
- Good Communication.
- Passion for Food and excellent Customer Service.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 32-40 per week

**Salary**: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
