As the Fire, Health & Safety (FHS) Advisor - Infrastructure Solutions, you will play a crucial role in providing support, advice and initiatives to improve the safety culture within Infrastructure Solutions. You’ll develop effective relationships with stakeholders, including designers, construction partners and their supply chain, Heathrow Project Managers and other functions that have a role in safely delivering and maintaining our assets. You’ll will work closely with the team to share learning and good practice and ensure that our Strategic Objectives are aligned and delivered.

Y **our role will involve**:

- Working with the Fire, Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to ensure Heathrow’s FHS standards are developed, delivered and adopted by Infrastructure Solutions,
- Understanding the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the duties placed upon Heathrow and those we appoint to carry out construction work; gaining a good understanding of forthcoming projects and how that translates to Health & Safety.
- Building upon Infrastructure’s safety culture; delivering health and safety training and initiatives, promoting a ‘Just Culture’ in line with Infrastructure Solutions being a Values led, Learning function.
- Attending site visits (occasionally nights).
- Lead and support incident investigations in a collaborative way that enables root cause to be determined and the learning shared across functions.
- Building relationships with a variety of stakeholders i.e. from Directors to site operatives, supporting collaborative working between Infrastructure Solutions and other departments (e.g. Engineering, Operations) to ensure that more complex safety issues are managed appropriately.
- Providing health and safety advice to Project Managers and suppliers.
- Supporting development and implementation of Safety Improvement Plans.
- Ensuring Infrastructure Solutions understands how to report close calls and incidents; understanding how to load and retrieve incidents on Airsweb.
- Liaising with the Health and Safety Executive and other Regulators.

**These skills are essential**:

- Safety professional with considerable H&S experience in Construction.
- Extensive experience in providing H&S expertise, advice & assurance.
- Experience with running incident & accident investigations.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) - preferably in construction; Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way.

**Ideally, you'll also have**:

- National Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent) would be an advantage
- Good understanding of continuous improvement processes and/or project management processes
