Temporary Cook

**About us**

Belmont House is an Elderly Dementia Residential Home; we are a small business and we have 26 Residents. We are looking for a full-time cook to become part of our team to prepare tasty home cooked meals and desserts for our Residents.

Cook Job Duties:

- Cleans food preparation areas.
- Prepares foods to the specifications of the Residents.
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate Residents with allergies or specific dietary concerns.
- Prepares orders for food and kitchen equipment.
- Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer.
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on Resident preferences.
- Estimates expected food consumption and organises preparation.
- Manage and complete the SFBB System.
- Offers a menu to that appeals to our Residents.
- Cleans up after business hours.
- Communicates with owner about how to improve meal service.
- Alters dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirements.

**Cook Skills and Qualifications**:
Experience of home cooking, baking and making fresh desserts and understanding of Safer Food Better Business, experience with ordering and stock rotation.

A Level 3 Hygiene certificate would be preferred but is not essential as training can be provided.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.01 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
