**Associate Director of People**

Commercial Services Group are currently expanding our People Culture and Communications team and are seeking an experienced Associate Director of People to drive operational excellence.

This role represents a great opportunity for a dedicated, self-motivated, and knowledgeable individual, to become the professional lead for people management and employee relations across all 26 brands that CSG encompass.

Working closely with relevant members of the wider People Culture and Communications team, you will ensure that our people management practices are delivered in a proactive person-centred and fair way, role modelling our values and behaviours.

As an accomplished HR professional, you will share your people management and DEI expertise to positively inform how activities are delivered, whilst developing information and guidance to ensure that people management and DEI is understood and advanced by colleagues across the organisation. You will lead a capable team of HR Managers, People Relationship Managers and DEI experts.

**Key duties**
- The postholder will have a key role in the positive development of our people management practice to achieve inclusive cultural change and improve capability at senior leadership level.
- Deputise for the Chief People Officer and lead the People team, ensuring that concerns and complaints are expertly triaged, and that HR Investigations are completed to a high standard in a timely manner; ensure systems are in place to mitigate bias.
- Develop a practice of learning, feedback, and quality improvement on people matters, working with learning and development colleagues to contribute to the development of people management capability across the Group which works to eliminate bias.
- Lead the HR People Relationship team, ensuring the people strategy is translated into delivery workstreams and local people plans, and that continuous improvement is achieved through key performance indicators, compliance, and governance.
- The postholder will lead the Diversity Equity and Inclusion programme, ensuring the Diversity Equity and Inclusion strategy builds a diverse and engaged workforce at all levels.
- To be the contract manager of the Service Level Agreement with the internal HR shared service ‘HR Connect’, who are responsible for efficient delivery of transactional services including payroll, pensions, HR administration, Occupational Health, HR Systems, terms and conditions and employee benefits.
- Take a lead with change management projects including TUPE, mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition integration and restructures ensuring collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.

**What we need from you -**
- CIPD Level 7
- Experience of leading and managing HR and people teams
- Experience of implementing People and DEI strategies
- Experience of working at Assistant Director level
- Knowledge of best practice in both public and private sector.
- MCIPD or FCIPD membership status or equivalent
