Npd Apprentice

**Overview of role**:
Location: Bradford

We are Speedibake, a Proud Yorkshire Bakery. Established in 1984 we are one of the market leaders in the supply of frozen baked goods and are part of Associated British Foods plc, which is a £17.0bn FTSE 100 company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice NPD Technologist to join Speedibake.

**Key Accountabilities**:
To be fully conversant with our health and safety operating practices
Support the Concept and process Managers and Technologists in managing projects from concept to launch for their given customers
Support in preparing for customer meetings and presentations
Supporting the Concept Technologist by helping with product make up, upkeep of project paperwork, benchmarking, internal product sampling and preparation of customer samples/submission forms, and sample collection.
Supporting the Process Technologists by helping with, paperwork generation, trial data collection and support, pre pro and launch support.
Supporting Senior packaging technologist with tasks such as packaging and artwork checks
Helping with market reviews and store audits.
Partake and support in any other NPD activity or task as and when required
Pro-actively engage with the factory and understand the site’s capabilities and processes

**The Right Person**:
Essential
Demonstrate a good level of Health and Food Safety awareness
Numerical, reading and information recording skills.

Advantageous
Understanding of baking process
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH Level 2) IOSH or equivalent
Ability to demonstrate basic engineering competencies/mechanical empathy
Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques
Computer Literate (understand and interact with HMI screens)
