We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the teachers in the classroom and providing assistance to the children. You will be expected to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children to learn and develop in.

**As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include**:

- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
- Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
- Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
- Supervise students on field trips and other school-sponsored activities.
- Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

**The requirements for this role are**:

- GCSE English & Maths
- Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
- Possess strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £11.41-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitehaven: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- EYFS: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
