**We are currently recruiting **

A **Young Persons Training Officer **to work within the **Child & Youth Justice Service **at **Lancashire County Council **.

Are you experienced in working with young people, with the skills, knowledge, and acumen to deliver practical projects to encourage, guide and deliver better outcomes for the young people of Lancashire. Our **Child & Youth Justice Service (CYJS), **work with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our locality and are co-ordinated as part of a multi-agency approach, working with a team of professionals including police, the probation service, social care, education, local health services and more. In this valuable role, you will be supporting children and young people aged between 8 -18 years who may have had a difficult start in life. They could already be in custody, have committed an offence or be at risk of future offending, therefore our focus is to intervene, prevent risk and guide those we support to build better futures. Our **Young Person Training Officers **have had such a positive impact in the lives of children and young people, we would love to recruit more

**What we are searching for **

**Passionate - **We are seeking a passionate individual who has the drive and determination to deliver impactful project work to the children and young people we support - with your passion you'll guide children and young people to success, encourage them to achieve for themselves and to create a future they can be proud of - you'll create opportunities and improve aspirations of those who are **NEET **, (not in employment, education, or training), or those that are open to **Intensive Orders **under the Child Youth Justice Service - as a **Young Persons Training Officer **, your values will align with our core principles of child first and trauma informed work whilst also adopting our restorative model

**Creative & Inspiring - **Our team of trainers have channelled their experience and creativity to design and deliver a range of fantastic projects from joinery (e.g. bird tables), fencing, allotments, regeneration of a RSPCA Rescue Centre, and a whole host of community projects of which our children and young people are extremely proud - we'll need a creative and engaging individual to inspire young people to see the value in participating in the projects you'll design - you'll inspire them to try new things, immerse themselves in projects and consider innovative training to nurture their individual strengths - with your varied skillset you will engage young people with projects that excite them, this could be in music, graffiti art, culture, dance or something new - were open to conversations about the knowledge and skills you can bring to be a successful **Young Person's Training Officer**
