**Planning Enforcement Officer - Bromsgrove District Council (Hybrid - Remote)**

**2 years + Ongoing Contract**

**Rate - Negotiable - Please send your CV with the rate of pay you require**

**Working arrangements**:

- Hybrid flexible on working from home - Please state preference on office attendance

**Essentials**:

- Experience of dealing with members of the public
- Experience of working within a Regulatory Service

**Job Role**:

- Investigate alleged breaches of planning control.
- Provide site reports after careful investigation and evidence gathering.
- To undertake inspections of business and domestic premises to ensure compliance with the relevant legislative requirements.
- Investigate, and carry out monitoring of, complaints and incidents including analysis and interpretation of results, taking statements, executing warrants, gathering evidence, preparing reports for formal action and issuing warnings for minor non-compliances.
- To carry out routine inspections of trading premises, land and vehicles and to undertake sampling, seizures, and examinations of goods and services.
- To receive, respond to and investigate to complaints relating to industrial, commercial and domestic premises and businesses, identifying unfair trading practices and breaches of a civil or criminal nature with a view to taking remedial action.
- To carry out enforcement activities in relation to all relevant provisions of regulatory legislation.
