We are seeking a strong and compassionate leader and manager to step into an Operational Lead role in our Targeted Service, which is part of our Getting Help offer in Buckinghamshire CAMHS.
You would be joining a well established team, with robust systems in place and a supportive wider leadership team to work alongside.
You would be joining a wider management team of operational leads who are responsible for a number of CAMHS teams, and who work together closely to support each other.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are commissioned to offer a Targeted Service. This service is one of a number of teams in CAMHS that work as part of an iThrive approach to support children, young people and their families.
You will be working in a hybrid way (mixture of home based and office based). The office base is in Aylesbury.
To take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the Targeted Service
To work as an integral member of service’s leadership team to deliver a high-quality responsive service to meet the needs of children and young people in Buckinghamshire.
Work towards a culture where services are seamlessly integrated.
Put in place and monitor arrangements for partnership working across the localities
To work closely alongside the Operational Lead for the Mental Health Support Team service, to ensure that services meeting the needs of CYP and that we are making the best use of available resources, through co-ordinating the offer. This will include cross cover as necessary to support the smooth running of both services.
To work closely alongside the Lead Clinician for the service to ensure that clinical delivery is effective and safe.
To assist with the modernisation and redesign of the CAMHs services, leading on agreed projects.
To develop robust interagency relationships with, Children, Young People and Families services, and other key agencies, supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.
To ensure Young People and Carers are included in all the work we do and structures are developed to incorporate users at all levels

The Targeted service offer provides short term interventions to children (0 to 18-year-olds) for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs (including specific Anxiety co-morbid with Neuro needs). As well as working with the parent/ carers of these children and other professionals, providing short term support (training, advice) to understand the needs of their children with an increased level of knowledge and awareness of a children’s mental health in relation to their family situation.
The targeted service also has staff working alongside our Getting More Help and Neuro Assessment clinicians, to provide 1 to 1 support for patients whilst care is being provided (CAMHS Buddies)
The role has operational management responsibility for the Targeted Team, which consists of a Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) who provide 1 to 1 and group treatment for mild to moderate mental health conditions, and CAMHS Buddies who provide support for CYP 1 to 1 and in groups. You will work closely with the Team Leader and Lead Clinician to ensure the service runs safely, effectively and efficiently.
