As part of this recruitment opportunity we are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic, forward thinking Band 6 Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioners, to join us in this exciting field.
There are opportunities to enhance all 3 Anaesthetics, Scrub and Recovery skill sets. There is also an opportunity to enhance your management skills and be actively involved in supporting the department from a management viewpoint and moving the department forward.
We have an on call and night team, which all team members participate in. Therefore, Anaesthetics or scrub skills experience is required.
Our service is continuing to expand and we embrace new developments within the Trauma clinical area. This includes learning new practice and keeping up to date with changes within the clinical setting. This in turn reduces the patients stay in hospital. We are constantly striving to improve our patient's outcome with research and innovative ideas.

Our Trust has excellent opportunities for a Band 6 Team Leader to develop, enhance, consolidate and excel their Theatre Skills, in Anaesthetics and scrub.
All applicants will be required to work a range of shifts including earlies (0800-1700), Long days (0800-1900), on call commitment and weekends.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- NMC Registered Nurse / HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner
- Knowledge of a broad range of theatre procedures and instrumentation/ processes equivalent to post graduate level acquired through Diploma / Degree plus experience and further study or qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge associated with the practice setting
**Desirable**:
- Health care leadership / management qualification
**Experience**:
**Essential**:
- Recent experience within theatres working as a registered practitioner in an acute practice setting involving the supervision / education of junior staff
- Can demonstrate depth and breadth of experience of working in at least 2 areas of peri operative practice (anaesthetics, scrub or recovery ), and in different specialties including elective and emergency practice settings
- Professional portfolio which demonstrates continuing professional development, evidence of ability to maintain professional registration
- Evidence of effective multi-professional working
- Experienced mentor / assessor / student supervisor
- Experience of supporting the implementation change including new procedures/ processes
- Evidence of the ability to confidently lead / coordinate a shift / area of the
