**Salary**:£36,500 DOE plus bonus and Veolia benefits
**Hours**:45 hours per week Monday - Friday
**Location**:Marchwood Treatment Works, Southampton
- You will be required to work 45 hours per week Monday to Friday, with any additional hours paid as overtime at a variable rate. Your contract will require you to be available for a minimum of 35 weekend days per year to support our cruise ship customers_

**What will you be doing?**
- Safe navigation and manoeuvring of a 35m and 24m barge in Southampton, Portsmouth and category C & D waters of the Solent
- Safe loading and unloading of bulk liquid and packaged waste in compliance with
MARPOL Regulations
- Ensuring the safe operation of the vessels, their safety equipment and crew in compliance with the MCA and Veolia land based procedures
- Manage ships husbandry to support the general upkeep of the vessels
- Producing paperwork for the customers
- Monitor crews working hours and ability to manage any environmental or health and safety incidents
- Safe use of vessel cranes and manual lifting equipment. (training will be provided)

**What are we looking for?**
- A minimum of RYA Coastal Skipper practical and theory (power) or Boatmasters licence is essential
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Collision Regulations
- Experience of being a master, showing an understanding of working at Sea**Our promise to you**
