Penarth, United Kingdom Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Full time

We have an opportunity for Band 5 Children's Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, or Adult Nurse (with relevant experience/ transferable skills ) who pride themselves in providing care of the highest quality with a family centred approach to join our team.

The Integrated Children's Community Nursing Service is a large and established team of Nurses and Health Care Support Workers, caring for children and young people within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The work is varied and offers a wide range of experiences in the delivery of care to children/ young people with acute, chronic, complex and palliative care needs within the family home or alternative community setting. The nursing team is therefore pivotal to service development initiatives in meeting the needs of children cared for at home today and in the future.

Additionally the team provides care and support for children/ young people with learning disabilities and those with challenging behaviour.

Plans for our own ICCNS Respite Centre are currently under discussion

With annualised hours and contracts starting at 20 hours per week, this post offers the opportunity of flexible working.

As part of the ICCNS, you'll have the opportunity to help make a difference to families who receive continuing care (respite) from our amazing team.

You will also demonstrate, teach and supervise the nursing care which families can safely assume, enabling them to carry out the recommended treatment. Provide a high standard of nursing care to patients in their own home or other place of residence. Also, you will participate in the learning programme of allocated students and newly appointed staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
