Vat Assistant

**Description**
Do you have outstanding organisational skills and a strong attention to detail?
As a key member of the VAT Department, you'll ensure all relevant In-Sync customers are successfully registered and supported throughout their VAT and Flat Rate Scheme journey.
This role would suit someone who has well developed communication skills, excellent ability to organise and prioritise, with a strong attention to detail. We’re looking for an individual who is self-motivated and eager to learn, with a determination to achieve targets and meet deadlines
**What you'll do**
- Identify anomalies within VAT return process, escalating where necessary for further investigation
- Ensure that all databases are kept up-to-date with progressing work and client details
- Ensure that all departmental records (paper and electronic) are kept in accordance with good practice and Data Protection standards
- Follow and where possible improve departmental processes and Company service standards
**What you'll need**
- Experience working within an administrative data-entry role
- High accurate with a strong attention to detail
- Determination and motivation to achieve targets.
- Resilient and pro-active with a flexible approach to work.
- IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Clear telephone manner and clear listening skills.
**Desirable Skills**
- Experience working with self-employed operatives would be an added benefit but by no means essential.
- Experience within Financial Services, Logistics or Construction services.
