An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our dynamic hard working team on Ward D10.

These roles are essential to the experience of our patients, their relatives and carers and they complement the clinical care provided by our doctors, nurses and therapists.

D10 is a 28 bedded regional Neuroscience unit, providing excellent care and strive to continually improve our service for the better of our patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient/client care through personal actions and continuous improvement. The post holder will support the Registered Nurse in ensuring the delivery of high quality patient/client care upholding dignity, delivered with kindness and compassion. Provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients/clients during a care episode. Actively contribute to an effective learning environment and support others in their learning. The post holder will promote a team nursing philosophy of care.

Person specification

Qualification & Training

Essential criteria
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to Nursing Associate Practice

Desirable criteria
- Has or willing to undertake supervisor training
- Demonstrate involvement in link, nurse, or project work

Experience

Essential criteria
- Undertake the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in the context of the team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development
- Experience (through placement or employment) of working in an acute clinical environment

Desirable criteria
- Experience within wound management
- Experience of working within a surgical ward environment

Communication

Essential criteria
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to communicate to staff within the multidisciplinary team

Desirable criteria
- Experience of communicating with patients and their relatives

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
