Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working alongside a leading transportation business based in Leeds. It is an exciting time for this organisation and due to continued growth, they are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant tojoin their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Supporting the Management Accountant, who reports to the Group Finance Controller, together with supporting the wider finance team. Although AAT or part CIMA/ACCA qualified would be an advantage this opportunity would be ideally suited to somebody who is happyworking within a support role and is willing to learn new processes.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

- Completion of 20+ balance sheet reconciliations monthly
- Posting journals at month end and reconciling unusual variances in the results
- Fixed Assets ledger organization and management
- Supporting the Accounts Payable team when necessary/posting purchase invoices
- Posting bank transactions and reconciling the bank
- Credit card expenditure reconciliation and allocation across site cost centers
- Assisting with VAT returns (quarterly)
- Support to Management Accountant in respect of Audit work and year end requirements (bi-annually)
- Other duties and projects as requested by Management Accountant / CFO on an ad-hoc basis.
Key Skills & Experience Required:

- Studying AAT, or part qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Experience working to monthly deadlines, good working knowledge of accounts function and month end process
- A calm, "can-do" attitude, with a good sense of humour
