Our client is an Accountants in Stockport and they're looking for an Accounting Apprentice to join their team.
The ideal apprentice would possess a strong aptitude for numbers. The successful applicant will have a desire to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
They will be working towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Apprenticeship.
**Job Duties**
- Entering of prime records onto Accounting software
- Reconciliation and balancing of nominal accounts including; Bank, CIS, PAYE, HP/Lease
- VAT preparation and submission
- Liaising with the client to obtain accurate information
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines and in a Team is a prerequisite, as is a full working knowledge of Sage, Xero and Freeagent.
Some out of office work may be required so a driving licence is preferable.
**What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship**
The right apprentice will work towards a highly recognised level 3 qualification. After completion of the AAT Accounting Apprenticeship, a full time position may be offered.
**Apprenticeship Details**
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience. Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 AAT qualification.
**Course Syllabus**:
- AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting
- Management Accounting: Budgeting
- Management Accounting: Decision and Control
- Financial Statements of Limited Companies
- Accounting Systems and Controls
- Professional Diploma Synoptic Assessment
**Desired skills and personal qualities**
Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Initiative, Patience
**Qualifications**
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade A*-C/9-4) Desired

**Salary**: £800.00-£950.00 per month
