**Position Title: Sessional Mathematics Lecturer**

**Location**: Victoria **Working hours**: 22.5 hours a week across Tuesday - Friday **Start date**: ASAP

This college is one of the largest further education provider in London. They have 4 colleges across London and have over 20,000 enrolled students every year. In addition to this, they have a college dedicated to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials for mathematics courses.
- Conduct engaging lectures, facilitate class discussions, and provide hands-on demonstrations to enhance student understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, exams, and other assessments to promote student learning and development.
- Utilise innovative teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance the learning experience and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment of course content and assessments with program objectives and standards.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and curriculum development initiatives as required.

**Qualifications**:

- QTS/QTLS/Level 5
- Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in mathematics, with a strong foundation in core areas such as calculus, algebra, statistics, and discrete mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment that values diversity and promotes student success.
- Proficiency in utilising educational technologies and instructional resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current trends and best practices in mathematics education.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £22.00-£27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week
