**ROLE**:Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School
**PAY**:£85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
**CONTRACT TYPE**:Full time and long term, until at least July 2023
**LOCATION**:Wandsworth
The school is recognised as a Science Specialist School and examination results continue to be excellent at KS4 & KS5 with outstanding value added outcomes. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working in a school that believes in a collaborative approach between staff, students and parents, working together to support the students in reaching their full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be supporting children on a 1:1 basis, or working with children in small groups to improve standards across the school.

**Job description - Learning Support Assistant**
- Learning Support Assistant
- Supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Supporting academic and social progress
- Delivering catch-up and intervention sessions
- Monitoring and recording the impact of interventions including short term achievable targets for priority areas of learning
- Ensuring that students have opportunities to develop their skills as an independent learner
- Facilitating between parents, school and outside agencies working with the child, ensuring there is effective communication and continuity in approach
- Supporting with personal care
- ASAP start
- Long term and full time
- £85 - £100 a day (depending on experience)
- Located in the borough of Wandsworth
**Person Specification - Learning Support Assistant**
- Strong academics across the board - degree, A level, GCSEs
- Experience in a previous role would be ideal
- Reliability, flexibility and positive attitude
- Ability to communicate with and relate appropriately with young people and staff members
- Ability to maintain effective student support lesson records and evaluate the impact work undertaken
- Ability to liaise with school staff, families / carers and external agencies both face to face and by telephone
- Perfect for aspiring Teachers
- Good ICT skills
- You must be able to work effectively as part of a team
- You must be able to commit until at least July 2023
