**Electrical Engineer (Panel Wireman)**

**THE ROLE**:
The position requires the post holder to assemble controls and fixtures that incorporate a series of wiring, switches, cables, other electrical units, water circuit systems and mechanical fixtures to deliver functional electronic systems that confirm withstrict quality requirements on time and in full.

**KEY RESULT AREAS**:

- Maintain and improve HS&E within the working environment both for yourself and your colleagues.
- Ensuring the construction of the power components of a device or system are wired correctly so they work effectively, without any issues.
- Complete the required functional assembly as instructed to the required quality standard and strict scheduled deadlines.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Responsible for HS&E for yourself and work colleagues and reporting any breaches through the correct channels.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving quality of the service supplied by the Panel Assembly Team to the internal/ external customer.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation to ensure all quality checks and measures are complete.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the Cost of Quality to the business by managing and reporting all waste labour & materials.
- Working closely and maintain a strong relationship with all departments within the business.
- Supports any reasonable work/ business request.
- Electrical assembly and panel wiring of control panels for industrial equipment
- Fit, wire, build and assemble control plates
- Light fabrication
- Reading and understand wiring schematics & assembly drawings to include electrical circuit/ wiring diagrams and oral and written instructions
- Practical knowledge of electrical/electronic systems
- Experience of fault finding & trouble shooting
- Knowledge of electrical switchgear systems advantageous
- Able to work independently

- Panel Assembly Team
- The wider shop floor Team
- All internal Departments
- Externally all customers direct or indirect.

**PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIES**:

- Experience and knowledge in panel assembly and wiring
- Experienced in soldering
- Experienced using Crimping tools
- Competent with check and measure methods, and using tools such as Torque Wrenches, Multi meters and Pulse testers
- Competent and experienced with drilling and cutting tools & methods
- Pneumatic assembly skills
- CE regulations
- UL specifications
- 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations

**Technical Skills**:

- Competent in reading, interpreting, and understanding circuit drawings, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Basic level of computer literacy
- Competent in using IOS based devices such as iPad to read, make notes and submit information
- Ability to create circuit drawings, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
