**Culinary Process Technologist**

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus benefits

Caerphilly

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. The role of Culinary Process Technologist reports directly into a Director within the business where you will be responsible for development and improvements of new products from initial concept to formulation and trial.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Co-ordinating pre
- and post-trial paperwork activities.
- Liaising with retail customers in the creation of new products and continuous improvement of existing products SKUs.
- Communicating with retail customer teams to provide development information on your accounts, ensuring good relations, service, and continuous building of business.
- Maintaining critical paths for product launch following the internal NPD process.
- Documenting all work according to established procedures and guidelines and to prepare or assist in generating various project reports to stakeholders to ensure complete communication of project status, progress, issues, solutions, timelines, and accountability.
- Developing knowledge of raw materials and factory processes to help develop new products or make suggestions to improve existing products. This includes working closely with the commercial, category, procurement, production, and technical departments.
- Hosting both internal and external customer product sampling panels as part of development cycle, evaluating results and reaching the target product profile to achieve a successful launch.
- Maintaining awareness of industry trends, consumer requirements and the origination of novel ingredients and processes, utilising an in-depth knowledge of the role and interaction of food ingredients and process.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Ideally minimum 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing.
- Project management, critical path experience.
- Excellent IT skills for writing, accessing, analysing, and reporting of data.
- Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with retailers throughout a project.
- Passion for product excellence and following a product through key gate stages from concept to launch.
