**Job description Confectionery Baker/Cake Decorator**

A fantastic opportunity for a skilled confectionery baker or passionate and skilled at
- home baker to join our small team of craft bakers has arisen in our family-run artisan bakery. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic cake decorator/finisher who has experience working with icing, chocolate, fruit, scones, pastry, and other confectionery delights.

The Bakewell Bakery is a premium wholesale bakery specialising in many products which are all made by hand. Our famous Bakewell Pudding is the recipient of a Great Taste award. We supply fresh, handmade produce to a range of establishments across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and South Yorkshire from our location at Bakewell's Riverside Business Park.

**The role**

This fantastic opportunity would suit applicants with a passion for baking, a flare for design and an eye for detail as your main responsibility will be decorating our handmade cakes and confectionery. An interest in the latest decorating trends is advantageous as you will have the opportunity to implement your designs and knowledge across our range.

**Experience**

Baking and decorating in volume and a strong knowledge of baking from scratch are essential.

A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role is preferred.

Applicants must also have an awareness of health and safety procedures.

Possess the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Reliability is a key attribute for this role, as is consistency under pressure and the ability to multitask.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, working 5 days out of 7 Monday to Sunday.

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour
