R&d Support Technician

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a R&D Support Technician for a client based in Simonswood-Kirkby.
**Position Overview**
Based at our site in Simonswood, on the border of Merseyside and Lancashire, we are currently seeking an R&D Support Technician to join us on a full time permanent contract.
The role is on day shift working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with some flexibility available with regards to your start and finish time. This can be discussed further at interview stage. The role is commutable from the Liverpool/Skelmersdale/St Helens/Wiganareas.
The salary for this role is £23,000 per annum.
**Responsibilities**
? Production of high quality samples destined for use by both the company and the
customer.
? Completing product scale ups; from creating a small 1kg kitchen sample and scaling up
to a 100kg factory vessel.
? Analysis of samples to ensure consistency.
? Accurate record keeping ensuring full traceability of the ingredients and process used in
trial batches and providing detailed results.
? Following strict food safety, health and safety and quality control practices within the
scope of the above activities.
? Working well with all members of the site team but in particular the Production,
Quality and Sales teams; with a priority on clear and proactive communications and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
**Profile**
? Be disciplined, methodical and work with a high attention to detail
? Be a team player who can adapt and flex around changing demands
? Be personable, self assured and able to build rapport with others
? Be a confident user of computers and technology
? Have Level 2 Food Safety or can demonstrate awareness of food safety procedures
? Have prior experience within food manufacturing, food service or catering
