Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for an **Junior Planner** to join our team based in Coleshill, Coventry

**What you’ll be doing**

As an **Junior Planner** you’ll be working alongside our Planning team helping to deliver the biggest civils infrastructure project in the UK.

**Some of the duties you will have include**:

- Understand and implement the planning responsibilities document.
- Ensure compliance to HS2 requirements.
- Assist in the capture and integration of current and forecast programme, budget, cost, and risk at asset and sub-asset level.
- Practice best practice and innovation.
- Assist the Project Team to timely deliver projects and improve performance.
- Using IT and systems as a key enabler for gathering and timely and accurate reporting on project performance.
- Live the BBV values.
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
- Collaborative working.
- Computer literacy:

- Primavera (all versions)
- Microsoft Project
- Word/Excel
- Report writing skills
- Some site experience of which some must be in relevant disciplines and some as a discipline planner.
- Presentation skills.
- Aptitude for logic and attention to detail.
- Some experience of planning & project control services within the construction environment.
- A high level understanding of methods of project controls, planning and performance reporting.
- Some knowledge of risk.
- Some understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement.
- A high level understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements
