**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Fee Earner to join the firm working on a variety of civil matters. We are willing to consider those who can demonstrate an enthusiasm for a role in the legal industry and who are willing to put in the time and effort to develop themselves further.

**Key Responsibilities** will include, but are not limited to:

- Taking initial instructions from Potential Clients and risk assessing the same to consider if there are prospects;
- Managing a case load of injury and non-injury claims
- Dealing with third party insurance companies and issuing Part 7 proceedings should there be no clear route to settling a claim;
- Drafting Initial Advices and dealing with all Pre-Litigation communications;
- Instructing and liaising with appropriate experts dependent on the case type;
- Instructing and liaising with appropriate Counsel;
- Maintaining cases in accordance with service level requirements, and ensuring that the case management system is appropriately used, and updated;
- Working alongside other case handlers to proactively manage case towards an ideal outcome for the Client;
- Being efficient in the day-to-day handling of matters;
- Inspiring other colleagues in the way you manage your work, and in your behavior both in, and out of the office
- Assisting senior staff as appropriate
- Acting with integrity at all times; and,
- Effective communication with other staff, Clients, and other Parties, to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere.

**REQUIREMENTS**

We are looking for someone who has:

- Experience of running their own, or supporting with, a case load of Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, or Housing Condition Claims;
- A keen eye for detail and will scrutinise their own work;
- Good analytical details;
- Discretion and the ability to ensure confidentiality;
- Strong IT skills, and has experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Their own initiative but knows when to ask for guidance; and,
- The ability to work with people from all walks of life
