**What you’ll do**

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Real Estate Associate (ideally with around 4-5 years PQE) to join our highly regarded team. Based in our Bristol office, but with flexible working arrangements in line with our ‘Ways of Working’ framework, you will focus predominantly on real estate development work within the social housing and regeneration sector.

Our client base comprises a fantastic mix of national housing associations and housebuilders, development companies, charities and local authorities and will allow you to experience development real estate work from all angles. You will be enthusiastic to expand your skills and knowledge, whilst working within a supportive and experienced team. We pride ourselves on our ability to develop our people, and as such, you will be responsible for dealing with complex high quality, high value work and will be afforded high levels of responsibility from the outset.

We are an ambitious team which is looking to grow and as such you will also play an integral role in business development, where you will be encouraged to work on developing the Ashfords housing and regeneration practice.

**Who you are**

Having worked with a similar sized national or city law firm in a successful real estate practice, you will already have a firm grounding in real estate development work with some experience of social housing (whether from acting for registered providers or for developers dealing with registered providers).

As an excellent communicator with proven technical and organisational skills, you'll be accustomed to working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. Further to this, with an eye for detail, you'll be meticulous and thorough in your work, with experience in acting for a range of clients.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, and show a genuine commitment to their business needs. Being self-motivated and ambitious, you will be keen to expand your knowledge and experience, and possess the drive to help us continue to grow and develop our business. Clients will be looking to you to be up to date regarding the latest policy developments affecting the sector, and as such, you'll need to demonstrate a genuine interest and enthusiasm for your work, and its wider implications for our clients. In return, we will support you to grow your professional networks, and maximise business development opportunities through access to relevant events and conferences, enhancing your knowledge and credibility across the sector.
