Deckhand On Hotel Barge

We are one of the leading hotel-barge companies, with the largest fleet of vessels offering luxury cruises on the inland waterways of France, Scotland, England, Ireland, Holland and Italy.

Our hotel-barges can accommodate 8 or 12 guests maximum, depending on the size of the barge, with an onboard crew of at least 5 including, a pilot, a tour guide, a deckhand, a chef and a host/ess.

Guests come onboard for a 6-night all-inclusive cruise. Our goal is to provide them with the best service to ensure they enjoy a truly unique experience.

We are looking for a deckhand for one of our barges running in Scotland between Banavie and Inverness.

The main tasks of this role are:

- Assist the captain during the navigation (give distance instruction when you are passing bridge, locks, ie), help with the moorings, gangplank installation, water and electricity connections, etc.
- Maintenance of all the outside of the boat including vehicles, bikes, jacuzzi, exterior plants, etc. : cleaning, repairing, painting, etc.
- Do the pickup and drop off at the beginning and the end of the stay, do the vehicles moves between the navigation
- Help the other crewmembers: pick up the breads, help washing glasses, dishes, do some bar service, etc.

Previous boating experience

Full clean driving licence.

Some hospitality experience preferred
