Care Dorset has an opportunity for a caring and empathic person to join our small dedicated team at Sherborne Connect; The Shielings offering a variety of meaningful and stimulating activities which our staff ensure are accessible to everyone, irrespective of their support needs.

As a Care Assistant you will have access to ongoing training, which will enable you to be part of our team delivering high quality services to all who access our service; whether this be in the centre, in the community or within clients own homes. This position is Monday to Friday, not many care positions afford every weekend off, with intended start date of Monday 20th March 2023.

Part of your role will be to offer friendly and professional help with practical tasks; such as personal care, eating and drinking along with support to families and carers.

We are passionate about ensuring our clients have a positive day and enable them to be as independent as possible in order to lead happy and full lives’.

Ideally, you will have your own transport as there is a degree of community work involved.

As you will be working with vulnerable adults and/or have access to significant information about them if you are successful, you will be required to undergo a DBS check. This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.

Part-time hours: 33 per week

**Salary**: £10.79-£11.18 per hour
