**LEARNING MENTOR**

**FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL JULY 2024**

**SALARY Grade F SCP 17-23 - Actual salary is £13,316 to £14,846 per annum**

**STARTING DATE: JANUARY 2024 - JULY 2024**

**20 HOURS Per Week (3 DAYS), Term time + 5 week**

Specific roles and responsibilities:
The successful applicant will join the Heathfield pastoral team, reporting to the Assistant Head, and will contribute to the high standard of teaching and learning in the school through their pivotal role in pastoral support and parental liaison.
- Managing attendance. Analysis of attendance and associated actions including attendance meetings with parents/carers, issuing Fixed Penalty Notice etc
- Initiating and reviewing Early Help Assessments
- Designated Safeguarding lead (training will be provided). Making referrals to the integrated front door, attending and contributing to Child Protection conferences, strategy meetings and Child Action Meetings
- Behaviour analysis and actions
- Parent engagement including running parent workshops and PATH
- Nurture sessions
- Leading daily outdoor lunchtime play
- Liaising with mental health support team and other external agencies e.g. CAMHs and SALT
- Working alongside the SENCO
